Brookwood students

about us

Brookwood Student Ministry exists to show teenagers and their families the love of God, true community, and how to reach the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ. At the end of the day, our mission is to send students out ready for the road ahead.

SUNDAYS | 9:00AM - 10:00AM | THE TANK

We believe that relationships within The Word are important and our entire Sunday mornings revolve around that. Student Small Groups help achieve that purpose: help point students back to their relationship with God, speak the truth to them in love, and guide them in His Word (the most everlasting gift we have – see 1 Peter 1:24-25). We regularly break out into small groups so that students can safely process what God is teaching them. We also make prayer a priority, taking time each week to get to know the needs and concerns of each student so that we can lift them up to God. Sunday morning Small Groups also help students in their relationships with each other, providing fresh donuts, an atmosphere of fun, and quality leaders each week! We hope to see you there!

Come to Brookwood Student Worship Services and experience community like you've never felt it before. Expect positive relationships, joy together, biblical teaching, and great leaders (who care about students). Most of all, we want God to be glorified in all that we say and do. We have a great time together! Students, in addition to intentional activities, will also have a chance to join a small group on Wednesday nights (alongside their peers and led by hand-picked adult volunteers). Our Student Minister, Daniel, will always preach a biblical lesson and seek to pour into students. We hope to see you on a Wednesday night!

1 Timothy 4:12

Every year Brookwood Student Ministry goes to a summer church camp. However, camp ain't cheap! Thanksgiving Made Easy is a great way to fundraise and help put money towards your student's 2022 summer camp cost.

The following are the available days your student can come to the church and work the Thanksgiving Made Easy event:

November 20 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Student will be in the kitchen with Mrs. Tracy Thomas helping her prep, cook, and organize all the food that was previously purchased.
November 21 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm
Students will be in the kitchen with some of our Student Ministry volunteers and staff helping organize and distribute the food to everyone picking up their orders that day.
November 24 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm
Students will be in the kitchen with some of our Student Ministry volunteers and staff helping organize and distribute the food to everyone picking up their orders that day.

When you register, please select the date and time your student will be available to work during our Thanksgiving Made Easy dates. Each student can only work one shift.

I was born and raised in East Texas, growing up in church from a young age. We were at church every time there was an open door! Through this all, I fell into disobedience and hypocrisy; it is possible to be a church-attender but not a follower of God.

Students need people who will show them how to follow God. They need encouragement from someone that cares. Christ’s love compels me (2 Corinthians 5:14-15) to help young people in this journey of faith. At Brookwood Student Ministry, we help mend broken relationships, reach out to the least of these, encourage spiritual growth, build events that draw students to God, disciple students in both small and large group settings, and raise up leaders who can do the same. Our goal is to encourage students to be the men and women God called them to be (Ephesians 4:14-16). We believe we can do this, all while having joy, living life, and connecting with students where they’re at!

My wife, Summer, and I met in Memphis Tennessee in 2015 - both doing youth ministry at the time. We were married in 2016. She is my best friend and the best partner anyone could ask for. Our son, Jacob, was born in 2018 and we hope and pray he uses his relationship with God one day to be a beacon of light to others who are struggling. Our daughter, Ellie, was born in August of 2020 and has added joy to our little family! We enjoy a good laugh, eatin’ some Cajun food, and spending quality time with others. Hope to see you around!
