about us

SUNDAYS | 9:00AM - 10:00AM | THE TANK

We have a special time curated just for students on Sunday mornings. We believe that relationships united by The Word are important and our Sunday mornings revolve around that. We have fresh donuts, games, and leaders who love teenagers! We are currently reading and teaching through the whole bible, week by week. See reading plan below. After the teaching time, we break out into small groups so that students can process what God is teaching them. We hope to see you there!

WEDNESDAYS | 6:00PM - 7:30PM | THE TANK

Experience true community like you've never felt it before. Expect positive relationships, joy, biblical teaching, and great leaders (who care about students). We are in a teaching series on what the church believes and there is an adult class that coincides with it! In addition to intentional activities, students will have amazing small groups (alongside their peers and led by hand-picked adult volunteers). Our Student Minister, Daniel, preaches a biblical lesson and seek to pour into students. We are also led by our student band, Reign Worship, every Wednesday nightWe hope to see you on a Wednesday night!

FROM OUR STUDENT MINISTER, DANIEL FAULKNER

I grew up in East Texas and as a teen felt called by God into ministry; it took me a while but I finally submitted to that call in 2008, attending John Brown University and studying youth ministry.

I found my now best friend, Summer, in 2015 while she was serving in youth ministry at a church in Memphis. I married her as quickly as I could! Together we pray that our kids would be a blessing: Jacob as strength for the weak, Ellie as a light to the nations, and Hannah as our gracious warrior.

The way I make disciples is by washing feet. I serve by building biblical community among young people and empowering them to live as children of Light (Ephesians 5:8-17). We walk with parents in helping them to follow God’s plan in parenting and discipleship. We want students to “know the truth, live the truth, and teach the truth.” Relationships are paramount in this ministry, and our volunteers, staff, and parents all know the value of pouring into the next generation (Psalm 76:8).

I like the Memphis Grizzlies, family time, our dog “Riggins”, competition, preaching, Scripture, basketball, adventure, and games (especially with students). I’m working on completing a Master of Divinity from Midwestern to go along with a Master of Theological Studies from Southwestern. Leading and serving at Brookwood since 2015 has been such a gift!
