Famine Results
Thank you all for your support of the student ministry's 30 Hour Famine in November.
The final fundraising totals have been tallied, and the amount raised comes to $16,351.
Global Missions Mailbox
We collected $455.30 for Global Missions through our Christmas Mailbox fundraiser. There are still a few
cards left to be picked up on the table in front of the Living Room. Thank you for helping to tell the
story of Jesus around the world.
Open Position
Brookwood has an opening for a full-time Ministry Assistant (secretary). Experience with MS Word and Excel is
necessary. We prefer experience with Photoshop, InDesign, and accounts payable. Information packets with applications
are available at the Information Center or in the church office.
Camp KidJam
July 27-30, 2009
$250 if deposit of $50 made before Jan. 30.
$260 if deposit of $50 on or after Jan. 30.

Mentoring Ministry
Brookwood’s Mentoring Ministry gives women of all ages the opportunity to connect with other Christian women. Those
that are mature in their walk with the Lord are paired with those that are younger in their journey with Christ. We
follow Titus 2:3-5 which tells us that the older generations are to teach the younger generations how to lead a life
that pleases God.
Through these mentor/mentee relationships, we strive to accomplish our mission - to guide women we meet and their families
to a life centered in Christ. To learn more about the Mentoring Ministry, please join us for our next Mentoring Informational

Evangelism Response Center Training

Participants will be trained to give spiritual help over
the phone while at home, to those who want to know
more about how to have a relationship with Christ.
People looking for spiritual help will call an
‘888’ number and then be connected to a volunteer.

Renovate
After more than a year of study by the staff, trustees, and building committee, the building committee
requests your prayer as we consider renovations necessary to update our existing facilities to meet the
ministry programming needs of our kids' ministry, worship ministry and gathering areas. The Committee
will bring its thoughts on the possibilities to the church during the weekend services January 17-18,
to be followed by a series of conferences for small group discussion and feedback in the following weeks.

LifeLink
If you are not participating in a LifeGroup, please sign up for the upcoming LifeLink, Sunday, January 25, 4-6pm.
LifeLink is like a big party at Brookwood that happens 4 times a year and is the primary way adults get plugged into
a LifeGroup. During LifeLink, participants mingle, meet others looking for a group, and hopefully choose a
group to participate in. The groups that form are asked to stay together at least through a 6-week study on Friends. At
the end of the study, hopefully everyone will stay in the group, but it is possible for people to choose not to stay in
the group with no questions asked. Register for LifeLink online.

Financial Peace University
Financial Peace University is a 13-week, video-based small group study that teaches families how to beat debt,
build wealth, and give like never before. For more information about the study or to sign up, attend one of the
free preview sessions on January 28 or February 4, at 6:30pm in Room 213. Sign-up details coming soon.
Classes will begin Wednesday, February 18, 6:15pm and will meet weekly. Cost is $99 per family.
