Alzheimers Support Group
Brookwood is beginning a support group ministry called Remember Me for those caring for loved ones
affected by Alzheimers. This on-campus group will begin Sept. 19 at 6:30pm and meet each 3rd Friday of the
month. Remember Me is for our Brookwood family and for our community, so anyone is encouraged to come.
No pre-registration is necessary.

Brookwood 5K: This Weekend
Join us Saturday, September 13, at 8:00am for the 1/2 Mile Fun Run and at 8:30am for the 5K run/walk. The race starts
and finishes at Brookwood, and the course is certified by Sportspectrum Race Management. Entry fee is $20.
The proceeds from the run will go to The Hub, an inner-city ministry in the Shreveport/Bossier City area that seeks to meet
needs and share Christ with the homeless, needy, and hungry in our community. Visit brookwood5k.com

LifeLink: This Weekend
LifeLink is this Sunday, September 14, 4:00-6:00pm. During LifeLink, you'll have the opportunity to meet, eat, and mingle with others who are interested in joining
a LifeGroup, as well as with LifeGroup leaders who either have room for additional LifeGroup members or are starting
a new group in your area of town.
Childcare is available if you registered by September 10 and requested childcare.

Mentoring Ministry
What the women of Brookwood are saying about the Mentoring Ministry:

God makes these matches based on our needs – spiritual, emotional, humor, etc. Our meetings were
always productive, insightful and thought provoking. I enjoyed getting to know both ladies, learning
about their walk with God, their families and their daily challenges. No matter our age, we all have
similar challenges. This has helped me build my church family.”

Family Worship Meeting
Anyone interested in being a part of the new family worship experience we plan to begin in 2009, please come to an
introductory planning meeting on Wednesday, September 17, 5:30pm-7:30pm in Room 213. We need actors, vocalists,
stagehands, technical/video people, set construction/design, prop/costume managers and much more. Come to the
