Brookwood 5K: September 13
Join us Saturday, September 13, at 8:00am for the 1/2 Mile Fun Run and at 8:30am for the 5K run/walk. The race starts
and finishes at Brookwood, and the course is certified by Sportspectrum Race Management. Early registration is $15 by
September 1.
The proceeds from the run will go to The Hub, an inner-city ministry in the Shreveport/Bossier City area that seeks to meet
needs and share Christ with the homeless, needy, and hungry in our community. Visit brookwood5k.com

Circle of Honor: Through the Years...A Legacy of Faith
Join us to honor the senior adult women at Brookwood on Thursday, August 28, 6:30pm. These women have
led the way for our younger generation leaving us a wonderful legacy of faith to follow. This dinner is
a way to bridge the gap between our two generations and build new relationships with our sisters in Christ.

LifeLink: September 14
The next LifeLink will be held September 14, 4:00-6:00pm. LifeLink is an event where you will meet and connect
with others to start a new LifeGroup or join an existing LifeGroup.
During LifeLink, you'll have the opportunity to meet, eat, and mingle with others who are interested in joining
a LifeGroup, as well as with LifeGroup leaders who either have room for additional LifeGroup members or are starting
a new group in your area of town.
Childcare is available only if you register online
or call 861-8911 ext. 109 by September 10.

Case for Christ Series for Kids
Through this series kids will learn about standing up for their faith in an unbelieving world.
Kevin and Cheryl Parker, Rosalyn Milliken, and Bruce Hennigan will lead the sessions. Fourth and
fifth graders only with 10 kids per session. Cost is $30. Sessions will take place in the Zone from 4:00pm-6:30pm.
Session I: Sept. 7, Oct. 5, Nov. 2 - Payment due Aug. 31
Session II: Dec. 7, Jan. 4, Feb. 1 - Payment due Nov. 30
