Student Life Camp: The Way
We had an awesome week at Student Life Camp last week! Five students prayed to receive Christ
as Savior and four students surrendered to full-time Christian ministry. God truly changed the
lives of our students, and my prayer is that we as a church family would bathe them in prayer
to accomplish the goals that God has called them to pursue. The theme of camp was The Way and
how only a few will choose the narrow way but many will choose the broad way. Pray that our
students will stay on the narrow path no matter what the world offers or suggests.

Challenge Week '08: eikon - Romans 8:29
The student's challenge this year is to discover the image we are intended to look like - God. Guest speaker
Brian Richards will proclaim this truth during Challenge Week, August 4-8, while Josh Guthrie and friends lead
the students in worship with music. Challenge Week will be the first Student event incoming 6th graders may attend.

Promotion
Students will welcome incoming 6th graders at Challenge Week August 4-8. Momentum will promote on August 10
and Velocity on August 13.
Children will promote August 16-17. Families will be able to attend an orientation session to prepare for the promotion.
The sessions take place August 9, 4:45-5:15; August 10, 9:45-10:15; and August 10, 10:45-11:15. All sessions take place
in Room 213.
Preschoolers will promote August 16-17. However, not all preschoolers will be ready to promote at this time due
to age and stage of development. Please refer to your check-in receipt on that weekend for room assignment.

Get Connected
LifeGroups (small groups) are the lifeblood of Brookwood. As the church grows larger, we must continue to grow
smaller through LifeGroups. Brookwood's LifeGroups are primarily grouped based on gender and marital status.
These adult small groups create opportunities for adults to:
- participate in personalized Bible study
- connect with adults like themselves
- be cared for and care for others
- invite their friends to Bible study
Most of Brookwood's LifeGroups meet in homes in the community during the week. Some groups for Senior Adults
meet on Sunday morning at 8:00am and 10:45am. These groups go to worship at 9:15am.
