If you are worried about finding your place in off campus life groups, we are putting together an event that you
need to know about. It's called
"LifeLink."
LifeLink is an event where you will meet and connect with others to start a new LifeGroup or join an existing LifeGroup.
LifeLink will occur at regularly scheduled intervals throughout the year - probably about once a quarter. During this
2-hour event, you'll have the opportunity to meet, eat, and mingle with others who are interested in joining a LifeGroup,
as well as LifeGroup leaders who either have room for additional LifeGroup members, or are starting a new group in your
area of town. Based on an understanding of each group's makeup, location, and meeting time, new groups will be formed
and existing groups will gain new members. Then, we'll all learn more about what you should expect from an off-campus
LifeGroup. And finally, we'll gather some information about each LifeGroup, and your group will plan it's first social.
God has used our move to I-49 to draw hundreds more people to worship Him and to begin experiencing a life
centered in Christ. On August 18-19, 2007, our Pastor, Mark Sutton, outlined what we believe to be a bold plan that God
can bless in exciting ways- moving our Saturday evening LifeGroups and our Sunday morning, 9:15 LifeGroups
to off-campus locations. This plan has the potential to open more worship seating at 10:45; remove the facility
constraints of beginning new LifeGroups; enhance the weekend experiences for our preschoolers, children, and
students; and enable more Brookwood members to be involved on a ServeTeam meeting the needs of our members and
guests. This plan creates the possibility for our members to expand their influence throughout the community by
doubling, tripling, or quadrupling our adult LifeGroups without having to spend a penny more on adult education
space.
