Preschoolers are special people at Brookwood. We want preschoolers, birth-preK, to experience God's love in AdventureLand on Sundays at 9:00am, 10:45am, and Wednesdays at 6:15pm. The doors to AdventureLand open 15 minutes before the worship service times.
AdventureLand will receive preschoolers ages birth-Kindergarten during the Blended Worship Service. Ages 3-5 will attend KidStuf!, our family worship experience, with their group leaders during this hour.
Preschoolers have their own LifeGroup and Worship experience during the contemporary Worship Service. During this time we focus on three key principles. God made me. God loves me. Jesus wants to be my friend forever. Simple enough for our preschoolers to grasp. Profound enough for us as adults to take to heart.
Beginning at age 2, preschoolers will have a great time participating in age-appropriate activities with their LifeGroup (small group) that will help them learn these three vital truths. Ages 3-5 will also attend a large group session where skits and songs bring the weekly Bible story to life.
But it doesn’t end there. At Brookwood, we want to partner with you as parents to help you engage your preschooler at home. Each month you will receive a Memory Verse magnet. Put it on your refrigerator to help everyone in the family memorize scripture. You will also receive a Small Talk card. This resource gives you fun ideas to help you teach your child about God during play time, car time, bath time, and cuddle time.
A parent's love combined with the church’s influence can impact the life of a child in wonderful ways. Let’s work together to plant the seeds of God’s love in every little heart, paving the way for a child to one day choose to live a life centered in Christ.
We have programming for your preschooler on Wednesday nights from 6:15pm-7:30pm. They will learn a Bible story each week through fun activities and a large group Bible time.
We know separation can be hard on parents and their babies. The volunteers in our infant rooms are skilled in helping parents through the process of leaving their baby for the first time. They have a passion for little ones and will rock, walk, stroll, and play those tears away so you can enjoy the weekend worship experience.
Here are a few things to keep in mind to make your baby’s time in AdventureLand as smooth as possible:
- Please inform the caregivers of any special instructions regarding your baby such as feeding or nap schedules.
- If your baby has a hard time with the separation you may send a special item with them like a pacifier or blanket.
- Be sure to label everything belonging to your child.
- Enjoy the worship service! This time is important for you as a parent. When you are at your best, the whole family benefits.
AdventureLand leaders are committed to making your first weekend with us a positive experience. We strive to create a safe, loving environment for preschoolers and their parents. Here is what you can expect on your first visit:
When to Arrive
We recommend you arrive 15 minutes prior to the service you want to attend.
Where to Go
When you enter Brookwood's main doors, keep right until you reach the first set of double doors leading into AdventureLand.
A member of our welcome team will help you fill out a registration card for your child and will assign them to a small group based on their age. Your child will receive a nametag to wear while in AdventureLand. You will receive a corresponding tag that you must give to the small group leader when picking up your child.
We can't wait to meet you and your family in AdventureLand! Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
