Our Middle School ministry is passionate about reaching out to the next generation of young people. We desire to provide an atmosphere where middle school students can come to know Jesus and deepen their relationship with Him. Our weekly student activities offer a variety of events, activities, and services for students. Parents are encouraged to come and get involved as well.
Student Worship: Sundays, 11:30am
Student LifeGroups: Wednesdays, 6:00-7:30pm
Student Worship Services
All students join together in one worship service at 11:30am on Sundays. Our student room, The Hangar (aka 219), will open at 11:00am for students (both high school and middle school) to gather and sip their triple shot, extra whip, double crushed, supercharged mocha chills before moving to The Tank for worship.
Students meet on Wednesdays at 6:00pm for LifeGroup where students are presented scripture in a way that is relevant, and provided the opportunity to ask questions and have discussion. Students and their families are encouraged to come early to engage in interaction and fellowship with other students. Doors open at 5:00pm, activities kick off at 6:00pm, and everything wraps up by 7:30pm.
Middle School Camp
Deadline to sign up is Mar 30
There are few things we do as fun and exciting as camp. This trip is always a blast. From the moment they arrive to the church in the dark morning hours to when they come straggling back home, students will have the opportunity to build lasting friendships, particpate in worship, and be challenged in their faith.
All students attending StudentLife Camp must turn in a StudentLife Release Form as well as have an active Brookwood Student Medical Release Form. You can access these forms via the links below.
Note: registration is not complete until all forms are completed and turned in.
Louder Than Words: Shreveport
Jul (dates are being finalized. this will be a series of Saturday mornings during the summer)
This year, Louder Than Words will look a little different. We are expanding our LTW impact beyond our local sphere. So, we are designating the Middle School missions experience Louder Than Words: Shreveport. Students will have the opportunity over a series of Saturdays to participate in missions work here in the city. They'll be sent out to clean yards, paint, stock cans at the food bank and much more. Our goal is that the gospel that is presented in our service will work to make Shreveport a better place and that these actions will speak louder than words.
Challenge Week '14
Jul 28- Aug 1
More info TBA
If you have not experienced the crazyness that is Challenge Week, you need to mark these dates down now. It's like VBS for teenagers. We incorporate elements of camp, D-Now, and anything else we can think of into this one week. Students always leave charged up for the new year and ready to take their faith out of the church and onto their campus.
